Who We Are
We bring together a network of social food providers and organisations dedicated to improving food equity, education, and sustainability across the region.
Our Mission
MSFP works with community and emergency food projects to connect with local suppliers and offer sustainable alternatives encouraging the shift from meeting the needs to empowerment and connection in the community. Together, we address every aspect of the food system, from tackling food poverty and insecurity to reducing waste, redistributing surplus, and promoting education, growing, farming, and climate-conscious practices.
The aim is to build a more equitable, resilient food system that celebrates local production and reaffirms the importance of food not only as a social issue but also as an economic and productive one.
Supporting local organisations to help fight rising living costs that influence daily life and added pressure on local support systems.
Filling the gap between rural and urban food system by connecting farms and communities.
Connecting, analysing and designing solutions to strengthen the social safety net, for the ever-present food insecurity.
Helping improves skills in the communities to make people become more independent.
Facilitating dialogue, raise awareness, and promote learning on food, to create a better food system.
Offering ongoing support to policymakers, encouraging open dialogue, and advancing awareness of food equity and stability.
